Libra Investment’s ‘Apollo’ platform for monitoring stock values needed an overhaul. It was accurate and powerful, but subscribers were drifting to other platforms which worked better on mobile, and offered easier, faster operation.

Background

Libra Investment Services' 'Apollo' web platform allowed financial traders to compare the performance of stocks, and save them into portfolios for easy monitoring. Whilst it provided accurate and powerful comparison tools, the product had dwindling subscribers - hampered by usability issues and poor mobile compatibility.

Whilst at agency Pancentric Digital, my team and I worked with Libra to overhaul and relaunch Apollo in six months.

Work & Outcomes

Whilst the client led with many design ideas, we conducted a full heuristic and competitor audit of the existing platform to benchmark things. We then ran a workshop series with the client team to understand user needs and sources of insights, user story map existing scope and journeys, and lock down project outcomes and metrics.

Sketch wireframes moved into Invision so the client could try interactive prototypes. We explored multiple visual design directions, choosing one that helped reinforce the brand’s strengths, before refining designs together with the development team for optimal performance.
